Tarra Bulga National Park

This is from May 2020.

Of all the places I’ve seen Tarra Bulga National Park would have to be one of the most beautiful. After our first visit I said that it was without a doubt the most beautiful places on earth, that was many, many years ago now and I’ve seen some pretty spectacular sights since then, but I maintain my first thoughts that this place is just spectacular. When we visited recently we got there so late that the daylight was against us and we really only had time to walk the gorgeous 1.2km from the visitor centre to Corrigan Suspension Bridge.

The visitor centre there is amazing, it has some fantastic historical information on the area and is so well set out. Keep in mind it is still closed for the moment but hopefully it will again be open for all to enjoy in the near future. The 1.2km walk through the forest is so serene and the only noises we heard was the sound of leaves crushing under our steps and Lyrebirds in the thick of the cool temperate rainforests of the Strzelecki Ranges. The tall Mountain Ash trees tower over head and make for wonderful shade cover on a hot summers day. The Corrigan Suspension Bridge stretches through the rainforest canopy, offering spectacular views of the lush fern gully on the forest floor below. Last time we went we had much more time to explore all that this area has to offer I strongly suggest you do the same.
