Grants Picnic Ground

This was taken at Grants Picnic Ground in Kallista as we passed through on our adventures, we had decided to come back and go for a lovely long walk through the forest today. We went back this afternoon and were enjoying our walk, until the thunder rumbled above us and the rain began to pour. Fridays don’t seem to be good adventure days for us lately, better to remember sunnier days

There are some amazing walks through the forest in this area, we will definitely head back when the weather is better for walking. I did notice that they no longer have bird feeding at Grants Picnic Ground anymore, since February 2020 apparently it’s been a while since I’ve been. The bird feeding used to be a huge attraction to the area. I did prefer it when the birds only got the occasional handful of seed, and wasn’t really a huge fan of paying for seed and feeding them on a concrete fenced area. Bird feeding is now completely banned in the area.

Grants on Sherbrooke the café there would have to have one of the loveliest forest views, outside on the terrace on a sunny day. The food and coffee there is also amazing, the prices are really good also. We had planned to go for a long walk and then eat there (plans don’t always work out though). Next adventure there we will do just that.
